Similarities: There are different venues to accommodate different types of events and performances. For example, a bigger event such as the opening of the festival is held at marina barrage as it has enough space to accommodate the program and get it running while an opera performance such as the Beijing Opera Extravaganza by Hong Kong Arts Festival programs are held in a cultural theatre as it needs an enclosed area for maximized enjoyment.

Hong Kong Arts Festival- All programs and events are located in enclosed locations such as the theatre, studios.
